Friday Night Flicks: Stop Motion and occupation: ANIMATOR

This episode of Friday Night Flicks features two more stop motion shorts. Both are about process, but they handle the animation in very different ways.

Stop Motion is actually an advertisement for a bicycle, with story board and most of the animation done by Marcio Gatica. It is cleverly executed with drawings, and shows the animators’ hands for some of the action.

occupation: ANIMATOR is a student project by Bruna Berford. It describes the process of learning to be an animator. Again, the animator is part of the film.

Perhaps you can spend some time this weekend looking at things the way an animator might.
