Friday Night Flicks:The Process of Book Binding and Book Binding

Tonight’s flick shows some of the mechanised processes used in commercial binderies. The Process of Bookbinding is K. B. Lee’s look at the operation of the North West Book Company.

For a different approach to filming a bindery in action, you might want to view Book Binding by Bill Stengel this weekend.  Only 1 minute and 44 seconds long, the video is more of an art film that happens to use images from a commercial bindery. Despite the quick edits and occasionally odd shooting angles, one still gets an idea of how some different bindings are assembled.
