Friday Night Flicks: Marco Gallotta

Tonight’s flick features another papercut artist, Marco Gallotta. His work sometimes includes photographs, or drawings, or paintings which he cuts and layers.

There is a video interview with him here. It will be most informative if you understand Italian, but you still might want to watch it this weekend for the glimpses of his work. You can also see more of his art on his website.

About Byopia Press

I have been working in the book arts field for more than twenty years, and operating Byopia Press with my husband David since the late 1990s. I began producing artist's books and altered books in 2004.

My one year of college Italian from many, many years ago has served me well. He speaks slowly and clearly and I could understand him! Love his work. Thank you.

I don’t really speak Italian — I understand a few words— and I got a lot of what he said. I suspect his Italian is so slow because he has been living in New York and functioning mostly in English, so his Italian may be a bit rusty. ; ]
      Glad you enjoyed the video.
