Friday Night Flicks: Komagata Katsumi

If you are looking for new creative approaches to use in artist’s books, you might do well to check out the children’s book section of your local library or bookstore. Many of the artist’s books created by Bruno Munari are now marketed as children’s books. Today’s book artist/illustrator, Komagata Katsumi, creates works specifically for children that could easily qualify as artist’s books. Here are three short videos of his books:

    Absolutely! The mania for scrap-books of Elizabeth’s coronation saw us collecting pictures and making what today are called “zines.” Probably highly collectable if our mothers had not had a massive clear-out when we left home! 🙂
